About the Book

Visions of Myanmar is a 176 page collection of over 230 full colour photographs from some of Myanmar's most accessible and stunning attractions, including the breathtaking Shwedagon Paya, the glittering golden pagoda at Kyaiktiyo, the extraordinary temples of Bagan and Mrauk U, the pristine beachs of the Rakhine Coast and the magical U Bein's Bridge near Mandalay. It also presents a fascinating insight into the daily life of the people of Myanmar, from the peaceful villages to the colourful markets and bustling streets of Yangon and Mandalay.

The photographs have been taken and compiled by Dr James Muecke, an eye surgeon from Royal Adelaide Hospital in South Australia, during his surgical teaching trips to the country as part of the "Vision Myanmar" programme.

All profits from the sale of this book go toward Vision Myanmar and will benefit the eye health of countless people both in Myanmar and Australia.
